socializing is a big part of what we do. Here we're meeting to play cards together!
as always, while we are out having fun, we are also learning about how to interact with others in the community in order to get our needs and desires met. Here J. is getting some help from the friendly staff at the PSU game room, one of our favorite hangouts!

hello again!

Well, it's been a while since I've posted any new pics here. We've been up to a lot of fun stuff, still riding bikes all over, hanging out and shooting lots of pool, enjoying the sunshine, maybe even throwing a little frisbee, or visiting the Oregon Historical Society Museum!

Art tour update

Well, we have been doing a lot of filming, and have managed to hold steady through equipment malfunctions, tight deadlines, unpredictable weather, and the learning curve. I must say that the process is moving along very well and we hope to be putting out finished episodes before long...

For now, we'll keep on rolling!

Midsummer update

we have been finding new places to explore, continuing various projects, and having a good time!

Araminta, the given name of Harriet Tubman, pays tribute to her courageous defense of oppressed people. Look for it just past the top of the hill, headed east on Sandy. It will be on your left and it is lit up at night.
We found a cool art gallery downtown, and it's free!
Hanging out with The Honorable Vera Katz.
searching out public art in tucked away places...

Revisiting the Audubon Hospital and Museum

The local Audubon hospital and museum are both worth the hike through Forest Park!
If you're lucky you get to hang out with Finnegan...
Chillin'

we've even found some really interesting stuff hidden in plain sight.

next time your in the Lloyd Center, take the escalator up to the food court and look up. This is what you'll be looking at!

if you look down while you're going up the steps inside the Central Library, you might be surprised at some of the things you'll see...

antiquing never gets old.

A tribute to every phase of video game technology known to man!

Stone house in Forest Park

impressive stone house along the trails going into Forest Park.

nice cloud show on Rocky Butte

had the opportunity to hang out with a new friend and see a nice cloud show. The view from on top of Rocky Butte is one of the most unusual I have encountered anywhere. Practically 360 degrees and a wide variety of scenery!

Bees hanging off a branch in downtown...

Parades!

we even got to be in a parade!

Last Thursday!

hands down the best street fair I have ever been to. The friendly atmosphere, yummy snacks, and great performers make it a lot of fun!

wow!

burnin' down the house!

cannon beach surprise!

after spending the day flying kites, building sand castles, and walking on the beach, we came upon a training exercise for the cannon beach fire department. They used the jaws of life to pull a real person out of the car. And, then things got really interesting! They lit the house of fire and let it burn right down to the ground!

Traveling to OHSU to ride the Tram!
On a clear day, you can see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helen's, and maybe even a few more peaks! The ride it short, but exciting as the cabin sways a little, by design as you pass the support tower. Once you are at the top, you can check out some interesting exhibits at OHSU, catch a bus that takes you right downtown, or turn around and take the Tram back down to the streetcar. One of the top favorite things to do in all of Portland for sure!
